Dear Doctor:
The Health Access Network Delivery System (HANDS) is a collaboration of concerned local organizations actively committed to finding and implementing solutions for no-cost primary and specialty healthcare in a dignified and effective manner.
The St Lucie/Okeechobee County Medical Society believes HANDS represents the best efforts of volunteer professionals, private industry, State and local agencies, and social service organizations to address the ever growing need of healthcare for those with limited means.
The St Lucie/Okeechobee County Medical Society has partnered with HANDS, and to help make this endeavor a true success, your help is needed. HANDS is currently accepting financial contributions for use toward the physical renovation and sustainability of the HANDS Clinic. Additionally, the St Lucie/ Okeechobee County Medical Society is encouraging our members to volunteer their time and specialty expertise to this important community effort. Benefits for medical professional volunteers include exemption from professional liability and continuing medical education (CME) credit for volunteer services.
For additional information about HANDS or to make an inquiry about volunteer support or financial contributions, please contact the Medical Society’s Executive Office at (772) 812-7180
